Blue hues abound in this stylish, fresh and modern wedding styled shoot dreamed up by a creative team of Brisbane Wedding vendors set at the gorgeous little café nestled in a tranquil nursery.

This is the modern Bride’s Guide to Something Blue

The timeless tradition derives from an old English rhyme: “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, a sixpence in your shoe.”

The shoot showcases a beautiful bridal gown, bridal accessories, florals, stationary and of course CAKE!

The shoot was inspired by the creative walls of the Smug Fig Café featuring blue and white flora and fauna and sweet bluebirds. The bride’s gown was a simple, classic design paired perfectly with delicate earrings and blush gold floral headpiece. The bridesmaid dress a delicate two piece set, featuring a soft blue tulle skirt and lace crop top and paired with Rose Gold Bridal Accessories.

We’re loving  the soft, dusty blue tones featured in this shoot. Its just the right mix of modern and neutral, and pairs so well with so many things. Add blush tones for a classic look, or spring green for something a little more fun yet still neutral.

From the fanciful floral tablescape installation, rose gold accented dinnerware, and all topped off with a deliciously minimalist blue wedding cake adorned with a touch of delicate florals.

Have we left you swooning for a modern wedding with a ‘something blue’ colour palette? Check out the talented wedding vendors involved in this shoot.
